Clementine is a music player based on the popular Amarok for Linux, but with fewer options and a cleaner interface.

With Clémentine can listen to your music collection, regardless of which folder is found, edit tags of MP3 and OGG files, add-listened tracks to your Last.fm profile and even see the covers of the albums.

On the other hand, Clementine has no options that it already includes Amarok, as support for portable devices or auto-complete tags, details that etiquette in future versions.

Pros
  • Controllable from the system tray
  • Filtering by album and artist
  • Add-listened tracks to Last.fm profile
Cons
  • It is a fork of Amarok

Real substitute for Amarok: to style travels it: For years my wanderings with the Penguin have been quite accurate, but in newer versions of Ubuntu, the famous Amarok has changed and pretty. My problems started when it comes to synchronize my device MTP Creative Zen V Plus, which although somewhat old man still gives some firewood, because I'm going to that, it works perfectly when it comes to sincronizary to transmit files to the device, so for me and for those novice users seeking solutions to this effective player, full, light etc...I sincerely believe that clementine is the best option.

Works quite well: Clementine is a simple music player but which works very well with files with the format. ogg. My clementine did not read me the mp3 format and so I had to use an audio converter to convert my music file to .ogg format, and since then it has not made me more problems. It is very simple and easy to use, and its function of playing music and files audio fulfills perfectly. It will not be the most complete option in the sector, but application is pretty stable and I think that by the quality of the program, Softonic should have put one final note 8 le.

Without plays MP3: Hi, Clementine if you play MP3s seamlessly, depends on the distribution you have, you got which codecs to install non-free or restricted extras. Well look at repositories, or inquiry at fora. I use Pardus 2011 bringing KDE by default and go without problems, this distro has all the codecs included. Best regards!
